"Mono-zukuri" Workshops

Monozukuri or Science Model-Making Practice

This is a new program, started from 2007, to encourage children to make something move or sound or light by their own hands. The model-making is to motivate children to learn science and engineering. Instructors are Sony's engineers or SSTA members. The programs designed by Sony engineers are related to Sony Products and the program developed by science teachers of SSTA are based on their researches of teaching materials. Both types of the programs lead students to understand basic theories of science. The model-making enhances students to think out the ways to drive devices by themselves and joy of achieving their goals leads some of them to become scientists and/or engineers in future.
