Sony Science Education Program for Children & SSTA

Verification class by the representative trainees of the Leadership-Development Workshop starts!

Trainees of the Leadership-Development Workshop which was held in the summer of this year in Chiba Prefecture, will conduct a verification class based on the plans each group has prepared.
Out of the 10 locations around the country, 5 of them (Nagano, Osaka, Fukuoka, Hyogo, Akita) held classes in November. The trainees of each region attended the session at the site assigned to their group, where they observed the lessons, participated in the discussion, and started further improvement of the classes planned to be held in the summer of next year.

Project Report Presentation held

On November 2nd (Thursday), the Project Report Presentation was held at Sumiyoshi Kindergarten of Kariya City (Aichi Prefecture), one of the Advanced Project Schools of 2005.

Reports on Applied Preschool Research Workshops (Fukuoka and Aichi Prefecture)

Report of the workshop held at Wakamatsu Kindergarten of Kita-Kyushu City (Fukuoka Prefecture, held Aug 24th)
It was an insightful workshop incorporating new attempts such as a buzz session via the video conference, and a panel discussion involving elementary and junior high school students.
With the support of the Education Board of Kita-Kyushu City, it was a great success.
We appreciate their support very much.
We plan to upload the movie of the video conference in the movie section at a later date.

Report of the research workshop held jointly by Shimasaka Nursery and Midorigaoka Nursery of Okazaki City (Aichi Prefecture, held Oct 21st)
After having the research presentation and an active group discussion, there was a lecture which summarized and strengthened the understanding for the workshop. Numerous participants have reported that it was a good opportunity for them to reassess nursery education. Thanks to the co-hosting by the Public Welfare Department of Okazaki City, there were more than 250 participants from the public and private nurseries in Okazaki City.
