3rd Leadership-Development Workshop coming soon!

The 3rd Leadership-Development Workshop will be held from July 29th (Sat) to 31st (Mon) at the Overseas Vocational Training Association (OVTA) in Chiba City.
As in the past workshops, 40 teachers recommended by branch offices nationwide will gather to begin the two-year long training which will be instructed by quality lecturers including the curriculum surveyors from the MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) and university professors. Based on the theme "Fostering Children with enquiring attitudes and an appreciation for the science- Nurturing sensibility, creativity, and independence", they will be tackling various perspectives of the topic such as the class-unit structure and development of teaching-materials. All activities are aimed to discover new directions in education, based on the real experience of its applications.

Childcare case-examples for 1 and 2 year old children

Observing how the behavior of children under age 2 lead to "scientific minds" can be important in thinking about the way 3 to 5 year-olds grow. Please take a look at the case-examples on children under age 2 now available on our website in the "Understanding Children" section.

Wellspring of Science Inspiration---Children's Schoolhouse of Dreams

The second issue of "Wellspring of Science Inspirations Letter" was released on July 14th. The third issue will be released on July 28th, at which point we will inform the students about our activity plan, groupings for the activity team, teams for "Learn from the Nature", and the teams for "Assignment Selection". After the groupings and assignment selection, we are certain that the students will be anxious to know who their new group mates will be and what kind of things they will do together.
The instructors' monthly meetings will come to an end on August 6th. We now have less than a month to go before the event. We are looking forward to see what the children will find interesting and choose as their topics to pursue this year.
